Feta Burger and Chickpea Salad

I’m going to be very honest, unless it’s 3am and my judgment is a bit impaired, there is absolutely no way I eat fast food. It’s just not good for you, period. Tempting as it may be, the bad in most fast food far outweighs the good in terms of nutrition. Most of us eat on the run and find it easy to grab something from the local fast food restaurant. But if you have specific nutrition and weight goals, it is crucial to fill your fridge with real, unprocessed food and plan ahead; and, if you can’t stay away from the fast food, do your best to mimic the meals, which is what I do. Doing that is what helped me drop over 60 pounds 7 years ago.

This is where this recipe fits in. I had rugby practice and needed a very simple post workout meal. Just take ground beef (97% lean) and season it salt and pepper. That’s it. Add/substitute other seasonings if you want (garlic powder, soy sauce, etc)

Because it was late, I kept it low carb with a very easy salad. I just threw in what I had and because I keep my fridge full, I have options.

Recipe to come soon.
