Hi, I´m Ulli.

About my work

I’m a private chef and caterer based in Northern Portugal, Viana do Castelo, working with clients who value healthy, homemade food and conscious sourcing.

I cook mostly plant-based & seasonal, and always from scratch. Good ingredients are not a detail for me — they are the foundation of everything I do.

I work closely with local organic farmers, small producers and independent shops to create menus that reflect the land, the season, and the people I cook for. Every collaboration matters, and every ingredient has a story.

My style is simple and down to earth — but never careless. A lot of thought, planning, and energy goes into each meal so that my clients can relax and feel truly supported.

About Me

Being originally from Germany, and after years of traveling, I found a new home in Viana do Castelo — and in the kitchen.

I’m a passionate surfer and sports enthusiast, deeply inspired by an active lifestyle and life close to nature. I’m a curious person, drawn to creativity, I love experimenting with ingredients and my favorite way of learning is simply by doing.

Cooking is my second career and a conscious choice — one I approach with dedication, continuous learning and respect for both the process and the people I cook for.

My background in event management brings structure and reliability to my work, allowing the food itself to stay honest, colorful, and grounded.

My Approach

I see food as part of the overall experience, not as a standalone element. That’s why I take time to understand the rhythm, intention, and flow of each gathering — from the daily schedule to the energy of the group.

My menus are shaped by the seasons and by what’s available locally. I work closely with organic farmers and small producers, choosing ingredients that are fresh, regional, and grown with care. Every menu is adapted thoughtfully to dietary needs, without overcomplicating things.

Coming from a background in event management, I value clear communication, good planning, and reliable structures. This allows everything to run smoothly behind the scenes, so once an event begins, the food can quietly do what it’s meant to do: nourish, support, and bring people together.
